Process
Recording: We Recorded several hours of footage on different location. The biggest challenge was capturing the right atmosphere for the videoclip of Poolnacht.
Photography: Photoshoot of the Band.
Post editing: As usual I started by going through and filtering all the footage on usability and quality. Next I created their HD videos and synced their audio on to the video.
Special FX: I created several special Effects for their videoclip to give the impression it was recorded on Super 8mm film.
Outcome
The videos we made together are among the most watched on their YouTube channel.
Thanks to the abundance of content they were able to post new content during the Covid pandemic.
The band's pictures I took were used in several articles including on HLN (Het Laatste Nieuws).
Key Learnings
Filming with a DSLR camera at night or dark places is a real challenge to keep a decent quality; equipment does matter.
